Goad brings 35 years of diverse industry experience to the management team
Delta Dental of Arizona Names Melissa C. Goad Vice President of Finance
PHOENIX, Ariz. (May 1, 2025) — Delta Dental of Arizona is pleased to announce that Melissa C. Goad, CRCR, CPA, MBA has joined the health and wellness company as its vice president of finance. In this role, Goad will provide strategic direction of all financial functions, including accounting, budget, tax, billing, treasury and strategic projections, while ensuring that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy.

Throughout her career, Goad has successfully implemented innovative financial solutions, improved financial processes, and enhanced operational efficiency, most recently as chief financial officer of Tuba City Regional Health Care Corp., where she managed the financial operations and fiscal strategy for a $300 million, 73-bed regional tribal health care facility with four permanent and three mobile clinics. She also brings extensive experience as executive director of revenue cycle strategic partnerships and innovation at Providence St. Joseph Health, business change management director at Anthem, Inc, and multiple leadership roles at Dignity Health, CIGNA Healthcare of Arizona, Ernst & Young, and more.
Goad earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Kentucky University and her master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University. She is both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative. Goad lives in Phoenix with her husband and three dogs.
