Community Grants Program - Grantee Spotlight
The funds raised from our Golf4Smiles Tournament and other fundraising campaigns such as Birdies for Charity and Working Poor Tax Credit, go directly to programs that serve children and youth. Through the 2012 Community Grants Program, the Foundation provided over $302,000 in grants and supplies to 31 organizations throughout Arizona. The Legacy Foundation Chris-Town YMCA is just one of the Foundation’s worthy grantees, and we are proud to feature them in this month’s Grantee Spotlight!

Tax Credit Donation

A tax credit reduces your tax liability dollar-for-dollar. In other words, a tax credit comes right off the top of your state tax bill, lowering the amount you will pay or increasing your refund.

Just this past year:
Grants and supplies totaling over $300,000 were awarded to 31 organizations providing essential dental programs for children. 42,000 children and families visited the Children's Museum in Phoenix for dental supplies and educational dental shows by the Tooth Fairy. Over 100,000 toothbrushes & dental supplies were provided to nonprofits, clinics, and schools.		Through the Foundation's Varnish Today, Vanish Decay Program, over 1,500 children in the Peoria Unified School District received a dental screening and referral when needed, fluoride varnish application, oral health instruction and dental supplies.
