Delta Dental Chief Executive Bernard Glossy has been elected 2007 chairman of the John C. Lincoln Health Foundation Board.

In that role, he also serves on the John C. Lincoln Health Network board. As the philanthropic arm of the John C. Lincoln Health Network, the foundation supports the nonprofit network's programs through fund-raising, stewardship of donations, volunteer participation and recognition of donors and volunteers.

Glossy joined the board after he moved to the Phoenix area in 2001 to become president and CEO of Delta Dental of Arizona.

"I had been involved in hospital administration for over 25 years, running hospitals and health systems," he said. "So when I decided to change careers, I spoke to some of my fellow hospital CEOs who had worked here in Arizona and asked them what one of the quality nonprofit health systems was. They told me about John C. Lincoln."
