Delta Dental Foundation of Arizona donates to the Department of Health Services Office of Oral Health
The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation, through its Delta Dental Sealant™ program, gave $35,000 to the Department of Health Services Office of Oral Health to provide dental sealants for uninsured children in the Tucson Unified School District. The Delta Dental Sealant (DDS™) Program provides dental sealants to uninsured 2nd and 6th grade students, whose newly surfaced molars are ready to be sealed.
The Tucson Unified School District was selected as a beneficiary of the funds because its needs were not able to be met due to a shortfall in state funding of its dental sealant program. An estimated 700 students will receive sealants through this grant.
