In Tucson
Celebrating 45 years of service to the Tucson community, St.
Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic has provided dental care since
1961. Their integrated medical and dental model leverages the
services of more than 150 volunteer providers. Reported by the
Arizona Department of Health Services as the lowest cost of all
community based dental clinics in the state, St. Elizabeth's offers
dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, radiology, restorative
care and oral health education. In 2007, the Clinic hopes to double
their dental capacity and serve an additional 500 children. We are
privileged to support the efforts of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic.
Back to School
Every July, in the middle of the hot, dry summer, lines of school buses
patiently wait to unload groups of young shoppers from across Phoenix.
For one week, every year for the past 40, the Annual Back-to-School
Clothing Drive, aided by more than one thousand volunteers helps
thousands of students from low-income families prepare for a new
school year. In 2006, an enthusiastic group of employees from Delta
Dental of Arizona helped students
pick out outfits, uniforms, backpacks
and school supplies. This year, the
Association will stuff 7,600 backpacks
and the Foundation is proud to be a
provider of their toothpaste, floss and
toothbrushes.
